Systems Run Deep

Loot worth chasing

Roughly thirteen hundred items drop from the world on three independent axes, then take runes, enchantments, and a lifetime of wear. The best gear in Rogue is not handed out. It is found, forged, and fought for.

Three axes

Every item tells a story

A graded sword, rune stones, and coin laid out on a dark workbench

Grade

The name of the level band an item belongs to, from Basic at level 1 to Legendary at level 100. It tells you at a glance who can wear it.

Quality

A craftsmanship roll fixed the moment an item is made, from Poor to Pristine. The hidden hand of fortune.

Condition

Durability that wears with use, from Flawless to Ruined. Find a guild merchant to mend it before the penalty bites.

The rarity ladder

Eleven grades of power

From a soldier's first blade to the artifacts of legend - every grade reads at a glance by its colour.

Eighteen families

Runes

Socketed into gear and combined three-into-one to climb in power, each rune family bends a different thread of fate.

Combine three runes of the same family and the same tier to forge one rune of the next tier up. Power comes from a rune's tier - Cracked, Carved, Gleaming, Radiant, Perfect - not from its form number. Sockets appear on quality drops; Pristine body armour and two-handed weapons can hold up to three.

Gather · Craft · Skill

Craft the world by hand

Nearly every useful item can be made by a player's own hand. Resources weigh nothing and stack forever in your wallet; learn recipes from scrolls, work the right station, and your skill climbs with every piece. Nine disciplines, each its own mastery.

Smithing

Metal weapons, plate, mail, shields - ore smelted to ingots, then forged.

Woodcraft

Bows, staves, wooden shields, and planks worked from raw timber.

Leatherworking

Raw hides tanned into supple armor and accessories.

Tailoring

Thread spun into cloth, garments, bags, and rope.

Alchemy

Herbs and essences blended into potions, poisons, oils, and inks.

Cooking

Food and drink that restore health and grant buffs.

Jewelcrafting

Gems cut and bound into rings, amulets, and foci.

Inscription

Knowledge authored onto scrolls, runes, and maps.

Salvaging

Worn and unwanted gear broken back into useful scraps.

Enchantments

World-drop gear carries enchantments from fourteen themed affix families - animal and elemental motifs, each granting its own blend of stats, resistances, and spell bonuses. They come in three tiers tied to rarity: Uncommon, Rare, and Epic.

Five sets

Gear sets

Four armour sets of seven pieces each, locked to a single category, plus a four-piece jewellery set open to anyone. While a set is incomplete the pieces read as ordinary gear. The moment the last piece goes on, every piece recolours and a real bonus appears in your buffs, scaling with the average grade of what you are wearing. Type sets in-game to see how close you are.

Plate

The Chronicle

Over four hundred achievements

Ten categories track what you have actually done: commerce, craft, curiosities, endurance, fellowship, fortune, mastery, slaughter, standing and wayfaring. Read yours with achievements, and wear what you have earned with title.

The best gear in the world is already out there, three axes deep and waiting for a name on it. Yours will do.
