Terms of service
These terms govern access to Rogue's game, website, browser client and account store.
Using Rogue
You may use Rogue for personal, non-commercial play if you follow these terms and the in-game rules. You must be at least 13, and have a parent or guardian's permission if you are not legally able to agree to these terms where you live. You must be 18, or have the bill payer's informed permission, to make a purchase.
Your account
Provide accurate registration information, keep credentials private and tell us promptly if you suspect misuse. You are responsible for activity performed through your account until you notify us. Character names are not permanent property and may be changed where they impersonate others, violate the rules or disrupt the setting.
Fair play and conduct
Do not harass others, evade sanctions, exploit bugs, automate play without permission, attack the service, access another person's account, publish private information, or use Rogue for unlawful activity. Report vulnerabilities privately rather than exploiting or publicly disclosing them. We may investigate, restrict or close accounts to protect players and the service, with the severity and history of conduct taken into account.
Virtual items and Ectoplasm
Ectoplasm, memberships, cosmetics and entitlements are limited licences to use features within Rogue. They are not money, have no cash value, cannot be transferred unless Rogue expressly allows it, and remain subject to the game rules. We may rebalance or retire content, but will not deliberately remove a paid entitlement without a replacement, refund or other fair remedy where required by law.
Payments and memberships
Prices are shown in GBP and payment is handled by Stripe. A membership renews at the stated interval until cancelled. To cancel, email lestat.rogue-rpg@outlook.com from the address on your account before the next renewal; benefits continue through the paid period. Taxes or exchange charges may apply. The Refund Policy forms part of these terms and does not limit statutory rights.
Our content and your contributions
Rogue's software, world, writing, art and branding remain owned by their respective rights holders. You retain rights in original content you submit. You grant Rogue a non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce and display that content only as needed to operate, moderate and promote the service; this ends when the content is deleted except for backups, legal records and material already shared in persistent game history.
Availability and liability
Rogue is an evolving persistent game and may be patched, reset or unavailable. We will use reasonable care but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory consumer rights. Otherwise, to the extent allowed by law, Rogue is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss.
Changes, law and contact
Material changes will be dated and announced. If you do not accept them, stop using the service and cancel any membership. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, while mandatory consumer protections where you live still apply. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law may hear disputes. Questions can be sent to lestat.rogue-rpg@outlook.com.
